2026 LIDA GREENS COUPLES LEAGUE

1) Who:

• Any interested couples – do not to be married or romantically involved.

• Can be Male-Female, Male-Male, and Female-Female.
• No requirement to attend every event.
• Can bring visiting couples / friends.

2) When: 

• Sunday evenings on: 31 May, 14 and 28 June, 12 and 26 July, 16 and 30 August, and 01, 13, and 27 September.
• Meet at 1630, play starts at 1700.

3) What: 9 holes, no handicap, scramble format (Best Ball Format on 28 June, 26 July, 30 Aug, 27 Sep). Scramble means after each shot (of a couple) next shot is from the best of the 2 shots. Best Ball means everybody plays their own ball and keeps an individual score; Couple score for the hole is the best individual score.  When playing scramble a couple must use a drive from every player at least once.

• Each night is its own event with winners for play each night.
• Cash awards for: Closest to the pin, longest drive (Men, Women), Low score for couple, and on Best Ball Nights (28 June, 26 July, 30 Aug, 27 Sep) Low individual score (Men, Women) and longest putt
• Each night will have additional fun play additions, like:
  • Worst hole (play worst ball of foursome, as opposed to best ball)
  • Yardage tape for putts – only on Best Ball nights
  • Pool cue / croquet mallet for putts
  • Play with only 3 clubs – Choose your 3, and draw your 3 at random
  • Roll dice for club to use each shot
  • etc (ideas welcome)
• Shotgun start with 2 couples per hole.

4) Cost:

• Special league rate is $38.00 per couple (includes cart). Members pay only for cart ($6 each)

• Additional $3.00 per person for nightly cash prizes.
• Mulligans are available each night for $2.00 (goes to prize money)

5) Additional: Once each month we have dinner after golfing (potluck with burgers, brats or meat provided by LGGC). Potluck will be on the following dates: 28 June, 26 July, 30 August, 27 September.
