2026 LIDA GREENS COUPLES LEAGUE

1) Who:

• Any interested couples – do not to be married or romantically involved.

• Can be Male-Female, Male-Male, and Female-Female.
• No requirement to attend every event.
• Can bring visiting couples / friends.

2) When: 

• Sunday evenings on: 31 May, 14 and 28 June, 12 and 26 July, 16 and 30 August, and 01, 13, and 27 September.
• Meet at 1630, play starts at 1700.

3) What: 9 holes, no handicap, scramble format (Best Ball Format on 28 June, 26 July, 30 Aug, 27 Sep). Scramble means after each shot (of a couple) next shot is from the best of the 2 shots. Best Ball means everybody plays their own ball and keeps an individual score; Couple score for the hole is the best individual score.  When playing scramble a couple must use a drive from every player at least once.

• Each night is its own event with winners for play each night.
• Cash awards for: Closest to the pin, longest drive (Men, Women), Low score for couple, and on Best Ball Nights (28 June, 26 July, 30 Aug, 27 Sep) Low individual score (Men, Women) and longest putt
• Each night will have additional fun play additions, like:
  • Worst hole (play worst ball of foursome, as opposed to best ball)
  • Yardage tape for putts – only on Best Ball nights
  • Pool cue / croquet mallet for putts
  • Play with only 3 clubs – Choose your 3, and draw your 3 at random
  • Roll dice for club to use each shot
  • etc (ideas welcome)

The Annual Lake Lida Junior Golf Tournament will be held on Sunday August 9, 2026 at Lida Greens Golf Course.

All junior golfers up to the age of 17 are invited. These will be prizes for the winners. Food and refreshments available all day. Lida Greens is located four miles east of Pelican Rapids on Route 108 at Lake Lida and is an executive nine hole course rated by the Minnesota Golf Association. Registration will begin at 8 am.

Flight Two – age 12 and under – will compete in teams of two and play “Scramble”. This flight will begin play at 9 am. Winning and Runner-up teams will receive prizes.

Flight One – age 13 thru 17 – will play in teams of two and play “Best Ball”. This flight will begin play at 11 am. Winning and Runner-up teams will receive prizes. Individual scores from this flight determine those qualifying for the Championship Flight.

Championship Flight – will be individual competition between qualifiers and the defending champions from 2024. Boys compete against boys (blue tees) and girls against girls (white tees). The Championship Flight will begin play about 1pm or after Flight One completes. Trophies will be awarded to the winners and runners-up of this flight.

The boy and girl winning this flight will be the Lida Greens 2026 Junior Champions.

The cost is $35.00 per person for Flite 1, $25.00 per person for Flite 2 . You are requested to pre-register, but this is not required. Registration can be done on-line at https://www.lidagreensgolf.biz/store/  You must designate your own team, so find a good partner. Handicaps will not be used in scoring.

“Chip in for Honor” Veterans Honor Flight of ND/MN Golf Tournament at Lida Greens Golf Course, Pelican Rapids, MN

You are invited to register for the first annual fundraising golf tournament for the Veterans Honor Flight of
ND/MN at Lida Greens Golf Course in Pelican Rapids, MN. This event supports the mission to honor
veterans with complimentary trips to Washington, DC, to visit memorials recognizing their service.

Date: 12 September 2026

Arrive: 0900

Tee off: 1000

Format: 14 hole, 2 person team scramble

Cost: $200 per team, includes green fees and cart, with lunch

• Awards for top 3 teams, hole prizes (closest to the pin, longest drive, etc)

once-in-a-lifetime journey.
